OBJECTIVE
For Berlin-based digital art festival transmediale Fork was asked to develop a website which can be easily updated each year and which meets the international standards set by the festival. We also realized the official festival trailer.
SOLUTION
The site is based on a user-friendly grid structure allowing for a quick overview of all the festival information. The use of dynamic backgrounds and an enhanced color code helps to break up the rigid content structure. Due to a flexible flash header system the website does not have to be redesigned every year and can be quickly adapted for each new festival, thus ensuring a structural unity and visual continuity impossible before.
RESULTS
The alternating key visuals make for an interactive experience and translate the Fork interpretation of each year’s festival motto to the web. So, while offering all the relevant festival information the website perfectly reflects the transmediale style and provides users with a unique taste of the festival event.
